African Mission Healthcare is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the reach and quality of healthcare in Africa. AMH operates in 9 African countries. It supported care for over 80,000 people across the continent in 2012 alone. Among other care centers, treatments funded through AMH are provided at Kijabe Hospital in Kenya, Arusha Lutheran Medical Center in Tanzania, and MSM Medical Center in Ethiopia. Anna is a single mother of two from Kenya. She works as a street vendor in Bomet. This morning, Anna was involved in a boda boda accident that caused a fracture in her right leg. She is in chronic pain and unable to walk. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner can help. On October 23, Anna will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation. The procedure will help her regain her mobility. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $998 to fund this procedure. I look forward to going back home to my two children, and be able to go back to work.
